Introducing Greenlight Dispatching: Modern Load Management for Owner-Operators

Freight dispatch hasn't changed much in decades. Greenlight Dispatching is built to fix that, dedicated dispatcher assignment, real-time load tracking, and MC/DOT compliance in one carrier portal.

Freight dispatch has not changed much in two decades. Owner-operators still spend hours every week scrolling load boards, cold-calling brokers who may or may not answer, negotiating rates from a weak position, and chasing paperwork that should have been filed days ago. For a driver who wants to spend time on the road rather than behind a desk, the administrative overhead is a real cost. Greenlight Dispatching is being built to solve it.

What Greenlight Dispatching is

Greenlight Dispatching is a managed carrier platform built specifically for owner-operators and small fleets operating in the United States. It is not a load board subscription. It is a dispatching service backed by purpose-built software. The key distinction is that Greenlight assigns each carrier a dedicated human dispatcher who actively sources loads, negotiates rates, and handles broker paperwork on the carrier's behalf. The carrier reviews opportunities and decides whether to accept each load. The dispatcher does the legwork.

Why dedicated dispatchers matter

Load boards give you access to thousands of available loads, but access is not the same as leverage. Brokers receive dozens of calls on popular loads and have no particular reason to work with a carrier they have never dealt with before. A dispatcher who books regularly with the same brokers, knows the market rates on specific lanes, and has a track record of reliable carriers gets treated differently. Your dispatcher's relationships become your relationships.

Beyond rate negotiation, a dedicated dispatcher knows your preferences. They know which lanes you prefer, what your minimum rate-per-mile is, what trailer type you run, and when you need to be home. Over time, they source opportunities that fit your operation rather than sending generic load suggestions that waste your time.

What the Greenlight carrier portal does

The carrier portal is a web-based dashboard accessible from any device. It gives you a single view of everything relevant to your operation:

  • Active loads: See the details of every load you are currently running, including origin, destination, pickup and delivery windows, and rate confirmation.
  • Load offers: Your dispatcher pushes load opportunities to the portal. You review the details and accept or decline with one click. No phone tag required.
  • Documents: Rate confirmations, BOLs, and proof-of-delivery documents are stored and accessible from the portal. No more email threads to search through at invoice time.
  • Earnings: A running history of loads completed, miles driven, and gross revenue. Track your rate-per-mile trends over time and see which lanes pay the best.
  • Compliance alerts: Your insurance expiry dates, operating authority status, and safety rating are monitored automatically. You get a notification before anything lapses, not after.

MC/DOT compliance tracking

Compliance is one of the most stressful parts of running an independent trucking operation. An expired insurance certificate can ground you immediately. A lapsed operating authority can cost you a load at the last minute. Greenlight tracks your MC number, insurance certificates, and any other compliance items and sends you alerts well in advance of expiry dates. You set the alert window and the portal handles the reminders.

Who Greenlight is built for

Greenlight Dispatching is designed for owner-operators and small fleets up to approximately ten units. The platform works best for carriers who run dry van, reefer, flatbed, or step deck equipment and operate under their own MC authority. Company drivers working for a carrier are not the target user. The platform is built for the business owner who is also the driver.

How to get access

Greenlight Dispatching is currently in private beta. A limited number of carriers are being onboarded in the order applications are received. To join the waitlist, visit zaaum.com/signup/greenlight and submit your name, email, and equipment type. When your spot opens, you will receive an email with onboarding instructions. Most carriers complete setup within 48 hours of receiving access.

Tip

Carriers who apply early are prioritised for the private beta. The waitlist is not rolling: there is no periodic review. Spots are filled as they open and applicants are contacted in the order they applied.
